Baggalútur Performs

A nine-piece band from Iceland, known as Baggalútur, will be holding a
concert on Tuesday, May 5th, 7 PM at the Akra Hall at the Icelandic State Park.
Their style of music ranges from the 50s to the 80s and they proudly emulate
the North American rock ‘n’ roll and country tunes.  They will be performing at
the Icelandic National League Convention in Canada as well.  This concert is
open to the public and is co-sponsored by the Icelandic Communities
Association and the Mountain Community Center Capital Campaign. 

A lunch will be served and a free will offering will be taken for the Mountain Community Center project.  

Baggalútur gives a musical gift!

The band, Baggalúlutr has put together a CD of their music set to some poems of K.N. Julius and other works.

They have donated this CD to the ICA and have allowed us to make copies and sell them as a fund raiser for the Mountain Community Center project. $12.00 each.

The CD´s will be for sale at the Souvenir shop during the annual 2nd of August Celebration.
